This 7x9" photo, which is matted and framed to approximately 14.5x16.5", is a 1933 publicity shot for Ruth's appearance on CBS's "The Inside Story". A caption on the rear of the frame reads, "Going to Bat at CBS Mike/ The great 'Bambino', George Herman 'Babe' Ruth, beloved of baseball fame, will go to bat at the CBS microphone as the first notable to be interviewed by Edwin C. hill, in the premiere of "The Inside Story", on Friday, January 27, at 9:30 p.m. EST. The new series proposes to present each week the dramatized highlights in the careers of outstanding public figures as well as interviews with the men themselves." The back of the mat has the year 1932 written on it, and the photo appears EX.
