Vintage Boxing Souvenir Collection
An interesting group of boxing souvenirs and boxing cards. Included is this assemblage is a complete 25 card set from the Prize Fight Series produced by the Surburg Company in New York. This colorful set includes stars Stanley Ketchel, Jim Jeffries, Tom Sharkey and Joe Jeannette. Overall the cards are EX. A few have soft corners. No creasing with bold color. Clean front and back. This group has three T218’s including two Jeffries (Fair & EX) and one Jack Johnson (EX). For whiskey lovers we have included a scarce Jack Dempsey Blended Whiskey bottle which has some staining to the label. Also a beautiful Lionstone Whiskey Decantur (still sealed with the whiskey inside) which depicts a black and white fighter in a clinch (EX condition). The always desirable Rocky Marciano Bourbon Whiskey Decantur (sealed with whiskey inside) is also included (EX condition). The lot includes two Castle Film Fight Films which feature the fights of Louis-Baer, Louis-Simon and Ambers-Armstrong (both in the original packaging). Also includes the Gene Tunney Health Exercise Record which pictures Tunney on the cover (VG). A small wooden souvenir box with Jack Dempsey’s name on the cover which was from the America Honors The Heavyweight Champions event in 1977 is included and EX. Also included are two commemorative coins; one for the Louis-Schmeling Fight (NRMT), and one is for Mike Tyson which is a rare large commemorative coin for his fight with Tony Tucker on August 1, 1987 (NRMT). Lastly, a small boxing metal hand toy which appears to date from the early 20th century (EX).
