Walter Johnson Family Photographs
Two brilliant original photos both emanate from the family of baseballer Walter Johnson: 1) Marvelous hunting photo shows The Big Train holding on to two turkeys with his hunting dog beside. The clarity is incredible as is the lovely darkened composition. Even the dog is looking at the camera. 7.5x10” and has scrapbook remnants on verso o/w NRMT. 2) Wartime Liberty Bond event (WWI) shows Walter Johnson along with General “Black Jack” Pershing (Commander of the Allied Forces), Hughie Jennings, Clark Griffith and Bucky Harris.
