Wayne Gretzky "802" Dan Day print
The prints in question measure approximately 18x24” and 20x30” respectively. They are numbered limited edition lithographs, representing original paintings by acclaimed sports artists Steve Csorba and Danny Day. Each print is signed by both subject (Wayne Gretzky) and artists Csorba and Day. The collection is: Csorba’s ‘Kick’ #226/999 circa 1983 and Day’s GRETZKY ‘802’ #511/880 circa 1994. Rarely is a collection of this type in this condition. The prints have never been framed and are in excellent condition. Steve Csorba limited editions were never released with COA. The Day print comes with a numbered COA with a separate hologram card matching the hologram on the print (#AAD23775). The Day print is an Upper Deck Authenticated product. This collection was acquired from the former owners of the Klaxon Company (Pauline and Jules Cohen). Klaxon made wristbands and neck guards for NHL hockey players in the 1980’s. In Gretzky photos of that era, Wayne can be seen wearing blue/white/or red Klaxon wrist guards. The Cohen’s obtained these prints while getting to know Wayne. These are just two prints from a large collection obtained from the Cohen’s.
