Wonderful Vintage Babe Ruth Photograph Archive (65+)
Spanning all the way back to the Murderer's Row era comes this wonderful archive of Babe Ruth photographs. Mostly composed of press and wire photos, this collection depicts Ruth not just on field but off the field doing everyday activities including signing a baseball for a young kid, boxing with Jack Dempsey, broadcasting with CBS & NBC, getting married, playing golf and much more. Of course there are action shots of Ruth in pinstripes too. Here is a brief breakdown on the number of photos, per decade: 1920s (3), 1930s (18), 1940s (11). Rest are from the 1950s-80s with some having handwritten editorial marks on the back. There are also many older photos with editorial marks on the front or back. Overall condition for 1920s-40s photos is EX with minor creasing and a small handful VG or worse. The newer photos are NM.
