Yankee Stadium 1926 World Series Beech-Nut Tobacco Tri-Fold
This huge, 59" x 37.5" stand-up advertisement for Beech-Nut Chewing Tobacco features a colorful outfield vantage point of Yankee Stadium during the 1926 World Series. The caption at the bottom reads: "Photographic reproduction of the Yankee Stadium - New York City - As it appeared in the World's Series 1926 - Record Attendance 63,600." The base of the sign reads: "BEECH-NUT CHEWING TOBACCO "QUALITY MADE IT FAMOUS." At the top, a skywriting airplane has posted the message: "THE BIG LEAGUE CHEW" across a beautiful blue sky. The display presents magnificently as a result of some major restoration over the years, elevating the sign back to the EX-MT level. Among the restored elements are several color touch-ups, multiple paper repairs and many paper reinforcements throughout. The two vertical fold lines have greatly benefited from paper reinforcements and major repairs as well. There has been some beautiful, expensive framing, as well.
