Yankee Stadium New York City Subway Sign
Veteran Yankees fans who hopped the "D" or "4" trains to get to Yankee Stadium felt a definite elevation of the pulse upon seeing this subway sign reading "161st St, River Av" on the outside of those stifling sardine cans. For all Yankee fans, that isn't the address of the Stadium as much as it is of the Bronx version of Eden, where championships grow on trees like forbidden fruit. The sturdy black metal sign with white writing contains the original glue and nails on the back.
