1814 Napoleon Bonaparte Year of Abdication Handwritten Letter
Handwritten letter signed by this great General shows a date of 1814, the year he abdicated the throne. After his failure in Russia, Napoleon's Empire fell to pieces. Paris, the French capital, was captured on March 30, 1814, and Napoleon's generals realized that it was a lost cause and gave up. On April 6, 1814, Napoleon was forced to abdicate the throne in humiliation. This letter is two-pages with military content. It measures 7x9" and is in NRMT condition.
