Presidential Signed Photographs (4)
A great set of signed photos from 4 of our nations most revered Commanders in Chief. Includes Woodrow Wilson, William Taft, Dwight Eisenhower & Herbert Hoover. All signatures in black fountain pen. Wilson’s is slightly faded, but fairly dark and continuous, grading a “6.5” out of a possible 10. 6.5x9” photo mounted on cardboard (detached). Signature is placed on the cardboard. Eisenhower’s is a bit darker, “with best wishes, Dwight D. Eisenhower” grading an “8”. Photo is adorned with an attached “Draft Eisenhower for President” pin. Hoover’s & Taft’s are the best, grading an “8.5” and a “9”. Taft’s with long inscription, “For Robert Barry with kindly recollection of our association on the staff of the Public Ledger. And with best wishes, Wm. H. Taft [dated] Washington Nov. 20th, 1926.” (with “Harris & Ewing” stamped in lower left). Hoover’s reads, “C.C. Scheffeler, With Kind Regards of Herbert Hoover.” Each of these are studio cabinets and measure approx. 10x13”. Overall condition is Excellent.
