Biggest Man Who Ever Lived Signed Real Photo Postcards (2)
Two real photo postcards of Robert Pershing Wadlow, the tallest man who ever lived. The gentle giant from Alton, Illinois was 8’11” tall and weighed 490 lbs at the time of his death in 1940. He was 22-years-old when he died, while still touring the country as a goodwill ambassador for the International Shoe Company. His family had all his personal effects destroyed at the time of his death, for fear that his legacy would be carried on through collectors of “freak” memorabilia. Thus, signed photos like these are impossible to find. One signature is nearly perfect, grading 9/10. The other signature is only slightly faded. Robert Wadlow is shown standing next to his father who was 5’11” tall, weighing 170 lbs. Photos are EX-MT. Also includes a signed postcard-size photo of Ray Johnson standing next to his son, signed, "Best Wishes from Ray Johnson and son," with added, "Ray, age 41/2." Some staining and some light creasing. VG-EX.
