Tiny (1.75x3") handcrafted booklet's existence is a true miracle, given its delicate nature. Somehow it survived the last sixteen decades in EX-MT condition, offering the baseball historian one of the earliest references to our national game. Each page is dedicated to an outdoor sport, with a short poem and a wonderful woodcut image. "…Now a knock, and swift it flies,/ O'er the plain the troop are flying,/ Joy is sparkling in their eyes,/ As to catch it all are trying…"
