1870's Autographed M.J. Finerty Carte-de-Visite (ex-Mark Rucker)

1870's Autographed M.J. Finerty Carte-de-Visite (ex-Mark Rucker)

As rare as CdVs are, autographed ones are next to impossible. Verso has a "signature" in pencil (not just "written") of M.J. Finerty, Penn. (Pennsylvania) Avenue, Pittsburg, Pa. Unknown photographer, but the Big City of Pittsburgh. "Pittsburg" is even the old spelling, omitting the "h." Has some miniscule flecks to the image, otherwise EX+. Originally from Mark Rucker, pioneering CdV collector and author of the Catalogue Raissone. There is also an early pencil price on back $150, but he probably got it cheaper. He always negotiated hard.
