1880's Boston Bean Eaters Scorecard
Fans of 19th century baseball will squeal with delight to discover this EX quality scorecard printed for a meeting between Boston’s Ben eaters and Chicago. The scorecard is completely filled out on both sides and the overall condition is extraordinary, rating NRMT. There is some minor paper separation along the fold line but otherwise this scorecard is pristine and the cover illustration of the out-fielder catching the ball and titled Home Run Spoiled is boldly colored and a prime example of Victorian era decorative arts. The card dates from the late 1880's and some of the key players from Boston listed are John Morrill and Heinz and from Chicago we have listed on the roster two of the best known 19th century baseball players, Cap Ansen, Mike King Kelly and Ned Williamson.
