1897 Milwaukee Base Ball Team Composite with Connie Mack (21x27" framed)
The man who earned legendary status as the half-century manager of the Philadelphia Athletics holds center stage of this incredible vintage composite from his final year as a player/manager with Milwaukee of the Western League. Note that it was the Western League and Ban Johnson that formed the core of the new American League. This extremely rare 19th century image is mounted on a heavy paper backing, then matted and framed in a museum quality setting. Although the image has some general wear around the borders and some rounding at the corners, the piece is technically in VG-EX condition with a very clear and dark photographic image that retains the original emulsion sheen typical of the photos of the era.
