1903 World Series Full Ticket

1903 World Series Full Ticket

One of the true Holy Grails of baseball memorabilia, an actual ticket to the first true World Series. The best of nine playoff series for the "World Championship" featured the Pittsburgh Pirates led by Honus Wagner and the Boston Americans with the great Cy Young on the mound. It would take eight grueling games over the course of thirteen days until Boston of the upstart American League would be named champions. This full unused ticket from Game 3 is actually from October 3, 1903 at the Huntington Avenue Baseball Grounds in Boston. There is paper loss to the right corner, but is otherwise excellent with some archival rice paper backing for stability. One of the most desirable relics available today and without question one of the most rare. The ticket itself is 1.5"x3.5", mounted and framed to 8.5"x12.5". From the Charlie Sheen Collection.
