1907 Boston National League Opening Day Invitation in Original Envelope w/ Ticket
A grand invitation to Opening Day, emanating from the 1907 Boston National League Baseball Club boasts a gorgeous hand colored graphic on the cover of an eagle surrounded by 4 American flags with the years “1871” and “1907” flanking it. Underneath in scripted blue print is “The Boston National League Baseball Club requests the honor of your presence at The Opening Game of the Season on Thursday April eleventh at three o’ clock, Columbus Avenue Base Ball Grounds, Boston.” Inside is the 2.75x4.5” ticket, printed “Admit to Grounds Opening Day - Boston National League Base Ball Club” in the same style of lettering. This great looking invitation would make a most impressive display if framed. The fact that it has been lovingly preserved in its original envelope for all these years has kept it in NRMT condition, as well as the ticket. Envelope is strong, EX-MT. Measures 8.5x11”.
