1907 Chicago Cubs World Series Program
Unbelievable example is the highest-grade specimen known of this extremely rare World Series program. The 1907 Fall Classic featured the Chicago Cubs, who had just suffered a stinging loss to their underdog cross-town rivals the previous year. They would take their vengeance out on the Detroit Tigers who boasted the AL’s top hitters, a 20-year-old Ty Cobb who had just won his first of many batting titles, and Sam Crawford. Still, the fearsome Tiger lineup could not prevent an embarrassing World Series sweep. Unscored. Pink cover is adorned with wonderful illustration of the Chicago club represented by a pack of cubs climbing to the top of the pennant pole. Program boasts a NRMT appearance on the front cover. Slight tinting & paper loss on back from scrapbook. Inside pages are NRMT and unscored.
