1908 Chicago Cubs Type I Team Photo - Last World Championship till 2016
This spectacular photograph is as Type 1 as you can get, a stunning vintage original printed from the original negative in 1908, the first specimen we have seen of this amazing image. Marvelous matte finish, it appears to be a double-weight and is on the original cardboard mount. Extremely relevant today, this is the very Chicago Cubs team that was last to win the World Championship until the end of the baseball’s greatest drought in 2016. Contrast is perfect and this is one of the finer baseball images we have ever offered. That team featured one of the greatest line-ups in history starring Mordecai Brown on the mound backed up by Tinkers to Evers to Chance and then right back to this classic image, which you may never see again.
