1908 World Series Program with Full Ticket at Detroit
This highly desirable treasure is the first specimen ever uncovered! The 1908 World Series program with orange cover sports wonderful baseball graphics on the cover, labeled “Bennett Park, Detroit, October 1908.” Inner contents are a team montage of the Detroit tigers and a team photo of the Chicago Cubs. Unscored, in fabulous condition. NRMT, except for slight scrapbook damage on the back. Comes with a World Series ticket (4x2”) for a Reserved Seat in Detroit, Game 5. This too is the first specimen known to that historic World Series Game. Game 5 was the World Series finale in Detroit (ticket is marked Game 2 as it was the 2nd game played in Detroit), notable because it drew the smallest crowd in Series history. This attributes to the scarcity of the ticket. Apparent NRMT condition, but upon close examination, ticket boasts a minor crease.
