1913 St. Mary's Industrial School Calendar with Baseball Team

1913 St. Mary's Industrial School Calendar with Baseball Team

Amazing piece showing the St. Mary's team from the era of Babe Ruth. Although he was with the team at this time he is not in the photo for some reason. Ruth went to school (although "imprisoned" is a more likely term) from 1902 and played on the baseball team until early in 1914. Interesting that this is an advertisement for the school's printing services (and any other "Good Work") where they used/misused the free child labor of the boys going to school there. This sounds like more like something more apropos for a prison film like "Shawshank Redemption" rather than "Field of Dreams." This is the only specimen known to exist and there will unlikely be another. Condition as shown. 9x11".
