1916 John McGraw Signed Letter

This letter, dated Dec. 18, 1916 and on official letterhead from the "Office of the National Exhibition, Co. - operating the New York Baseball Club," was sent by Giants' manager John J. McGraw to Ferdie Schupp. The typewritten letter thanks Schupp for the set of Shakespeare's writings which the Giants team had presented to McGraw the previous season and notes that the team's signatures on it "brings back to mind one of the greatest years in the history of base ball (sic)." McGraw's signature is 7/10 with a small smudge at the ending. The letter itself is in Very Good condition with mailing folds.
