1919 Cincinnati Reds Mounted Photograph (10.5x16")
Awe-inspiring piece pictures the underdog National League squad that was handed the World Championship by Shoeless Joe and his fellow Black Sox conspirators. Vintage shot was snapped by F. Boellinger Studios, and is marked as such by writing scratched in the negative at bottom right, imprint at bottom center of mount and sticker on back. Foxing of image is heavier at corners than in center, and only adds to the patina. Condition is remarkable otherwise. Surely the finest specimen of this coveted prize in existence.
