1922 World Series Championship Ring from Frank Frisch

1922 World Series Championship Ring from Frank Frisch

If they still made Championship rings that looked like this, we would have practiced harder as kids. The simple elegance of this specimen so far surpasses in beauty and dignity the gaudy, monstrous modern rings. What it lacks in flash it more than makes up for in class--what a perfect analogy for the old game as opposed to the game as it is today. This ring was acquired from a close friend of the Fordham Flash who had for years admired the genuine article and was floored when the Hall of Famer presented him with this replica he had made as a gift. An LOA from the recipient documents the story behind this incredible gift. A large faux diamond rests at center of a basepath design on the face. Elegant art deco lettering runs across both shanks and reads, "1922 Giants World's Champions." This splendid vintage wonder is crafted from silver and measures a size nine.
