1924 Aguilitas Cuban Sports Card Album with Set of 2nd Series Baseball (900)

1924 Aguilitas Cuban Sports Card Album with Set of 2nd Series Baseball (900)

One of the best card albums we have ever offered. Submitted for your perusal is this complete card album of 900 sports and non-sports cards. The 44 baseball are the key and feature many of the greats of the Negro Leagues: Torriente, Charleston, Mesa, Marsans, Rios, Mendez, Dreke (2), Rojo, Luque, Dressen, McKey, Moore, Duncan, Pedroso, Lundy, and Oms. The two Pop Lloyd cards are here including the “Sam Lloyd” and the rare misidentified “Joe” card. Cards are all glued into the original album and can be easily removed. The real photo cards themselves have corners as sharp as a blade. There is some surface dirt, which should be easy to clean. Just three cards are a bit faded with the Oms being the only one of importance. Many NRMT cards should be able to be extracted from this album after all is said and done. There are about 200 other sports here including 28 Boxing (Battling Siki, Owen Moran), Football (soccer), Jai alai, and more. Of the approximately 750 non-sports cards there are many silent film stars (Chaplin, Lloyd, Valentino, Rin Tin Tin, Keaton, and six Lon Chaney), romance, and glamour girls featuring the Follies-Bergere dancers. The album itself is tattered but has the original covers with the blue cloth worn off.
