1925 "Shoeless Joe Jackson Club" Broadside

1925 "Shoeless Joe Jackson Club" Broadside

A tremendous, picturesque 1925 broadside with J.J. lookalike graphic pits the "Shoeless Joe Jackson Club" vs. Douglass A&M. It reads, "The famous Joe Jackson will positively play in this game. Everybody wants to see 'Brown Mule Smith' in action against this club. Shoeless Joe is one of the best ball players of all time and will give our people a chance to see how Major Leaguers perform." Measures 7 1/4" x 14 7/8" and has a corner chip and paper pasted on top. Mounted on original scrapbook page with tape at bottom edge. Interesting that they often stress that Joe will "positively appear."
