Shoeless Joe Jackson v. Chicago White Sox Original "Black Sox" Lawsuit

Shoeless Joe Jackson v. Chicago White Sox Original "Black Sox" Lawsuit

The most important Black Sox document extant. This incredible four-sided, two-page document is the actual lawsuit filed by the disgraced immortal against his own team the Chicago White Sox. Cheapo Charles Comiskey and his team refused to pay Joe Jackson his final pay and thus Joe sued. Stunning content here, Jackson is asked and answers the TEN CRITICAL QUESTIONS, critical questions regarding the one and only 1919 World Series, and it goes right to the center of the matter. They ask him whether he was tricked into signing the infamous "confession" by Harry Grabiner, Comiskey's right hand henchman. He is asked multiple questions if he threw the 1919 World Series and took money to that aim, answering "no" to all. Feels he is owed baseball backpay of $16,711.04. This official state document is signed by the clerk dated February 16, 1921 - incredibly, the cost of this document was just 50 cents. An attractive, displayable piece with official Wisconsin gold foil seal.
