1947 Al Gionfriddo Making "The Catch" Photo

1947 Al Gionfriddo Making "The Catch" Photo

He only played 32 regular season games for the Brooklyn Dodgers and yet he still provides one of the grandest memories to the fans of the Bums from Brooklyn. Game Six of the World Series belonged to him as he made an utterly spectacular grab of a ball smashed by DiMaggio, helping preserve the victory and sending the Series to a Game 7. Condition of photo is EX+ and comes with original wire caption on the back. One of the most famous catches in the history of the game.
