1947 Louis Armstrong ALS

1947 Louis Armstrong ALS

Louis seems just a wee bit too impatient in this 1947 letter to Germany requesting -- pleading, actually -- more of his favorite lip salve (we wonder just what was in that stuff, anyway, but since he was a musician perhaps we shouldn't ask). On page two he writes sternly, "P.S. Please answer my letter." The letter, in green pen, is signed, "Yours truly, Louis Armstrong." Signature is flawless. Letter Ex with some minor browning of the edges.
