1948 Chicago Colleens Photograph with Dave Bancroft (8x10")
It's likely that the film "A League of Their Own" was based loosely on this one, as it too was led by a former Major League superstar, like the one Tom Hanks played in the film. Great image of the A.A.G.P.B.L. team pictures Bancroft, and comes from his estate. It's even inscribed to him on back by one of his players, "Dear Dave, Lest you forget!, Peg." NRMT.
