1954 Harry Agganis Signed Government Postcard

1954 Harry Agganis Signed Government Postcard

Extremely rare signature by the ill-fated Harry Agganis, a New England legend for his exploits as an All-American QB at Boston University who came to the Red Sox as a first baseman in 1954 and hit .261, but tragically died on June 27, 1955 of leukemia. The signature in light blue ink is 8.5/10 and written on a newspaper photo of Agganis nearly covering the back of a government postcard sent to Jim Davidson. Card is EX with very light foxing and is postmarked July 24, 1954 from Lynn, MA.
