1958-59 St. Louis Hawks Team-Signed Basketball

St. Louis remains one of the largest Metropolitan Areas in the U.S. without an NBA team. But it wasn't always that way. Back before the Atlanta Hawks made their hardwood debut in 1968, the franchise enjoyed 13 seasons in Missouri's largest city, even winning a championship in 1958. This Rawlings Bob Pettit-endorsed basketball from the following season is in NRMT condition boasts 12 ink signatures averaging 7/10. They include Si Green, Cliff Hagen, Dave Gambee, Clyde Lovellette, Slater Martin, Bob Pettit, and more. The '58-'59 Hawks won the Western Division easily with a solid 49-23 record as Pettit garnered a second MVP award, leading the league in scoring with 29.2 ppg. However, in the Western Finals, the Hawks were stunned by the Minneapolis Lakers in 6 games.
