2006 St.Louis Cardinals Championship Tray

2006 St.Louis Cardinals Championship Tray

The 2006 Cardinals hold the distinction of being the World Series champions with the worst overall record, posting an underwhelming 83-78 mark that season before riding a hit streak through October en route to their 10th championship trophy. One of the spoils that members of the organization collected was this silver tray by Lunt that was limited to players, coaches and VIPs. It is exquisitely engraved with all of the players' facsimile signatures, and the team logo adorns the center, surrounded by: "WORLD CHAMPIONS 2006" and the years of the nine other World Series triumphs. The back is engraved with the players' printed names as well. Comes with a letter from Bill DeWitt, Jr. to Red Schoendienst explaining that he had the tray commissioned for the team. NRMT condition. The tray has a 12.5" diameter.
