1963 and 1965 St. Louis Cardinals Team-Signed Baseballs
Two balls from significant St. Louis seasons distinguish this lot: one from the last year of Cardinals great Stan Musial (1963) and the other from Hall of Famer Steve Carlton's rookie campaign (1965). Both are official National League (Giles) baseballs that are in EX-MT to NRMT condition with strong signatures on the balls, averaging 8+/10. The 1963 ball boasts 20 signatures with Musial on the sweet spot, Red Schoendienst (personalized), Bill White, Tim McCarver, Bob Uecker, Clete Boyer, Bobby Shantz amd Lew Burdette, while the 1965 cowhide features 23 signatures with Carlton, Schoendienst, Boyer, Bob Gibson, Uecker, McCarver and Curt Flood. The 1963 Cards went 93-69 and finished second in the N.L. pennant race, while the '65 Redbirds finished 80-81.
