Three Milwaukee Braves Team Signed Baseballs
The Braves only spent 13 seasons in Milwaukee, but one of those seasons - 1957 - saw the team win a World Series championship - the only one ever in the city's history. The following year, the Braves repeated as National League champs, and two if the three balls offered in this lot come from that 92-62 campaign. They are nearly identical official National League baseballs graded EX with slight wear. One features 31 signatures and the other 28. On both balls are Aaron, Mathews, Schoendienst, Herman, Spahn, Haney and more with the signatures averaging 7/10. The third ball is from 1960, when the club contended and finished in second place with an 88-66 record. It is also an official NL model, in EX-MT condition with 32 signatures, including Aaron, Mathews, Schoendienst, Dressen, Dark, Spahn, Torre, and more with an overall average of 8/10. The Braves would depart Milwaukee for Atlanta after the 1965 season.
