1966 Floyd Patterson Passport for Henry Cooper London Fight
After coming up short in his bid to unseat Muhammad Ali and regain the Heavyweight Championship in 1965, Floyd Patterson was still a dangerous contender, as evidenced a year later. Patterson traveled to England in August of 1966, where he dispatched Cooper via knockout in the fourth round on September 20, 1966. This is his passport, obtained especially for this fight, with the only entry dated as September 21, 1966, the day after the fight, and stamped inside with his visa. The photo of Patterson is signed as is the "bearer" section. The passport is in EX-MT condition. Patterson was not only heavyweight champ on two occasions, but he captured the gold medal at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. From the collection of Floyd Patterson.
