1967 Legalize Pot Osiris Poster OA105

1967 Legalize Pot Osiris Poster OA105

Nearly half a century before Colorado and Washington passed legislation legalizing marijuana, the Osiris Agency of London produced colorful, provocative posters such as this with the same goal. The rare piece originated from the pen of Mike McInnerney, the artist responsible for the artwork in the Who's album "Tommy" and promoted a pot rally on Speakers Corner in Hyde Park on Sunday afternoon, July 16, 1967. There are some small tears but they hardly distract from the vibrant colors and social importance of this psychedelic portrait that measures 20" x 30".
