1969 National League All-Star Team Signed Baseball with Clemente
The last All-Star Game ever played in the nation's capital took place the same month man first walked on the moon - July of 1969. This official National League (Giles) baseball boasts the names of 26 stars from that era, including Roberto Clemente, Willie Mays, Red Schoendienst, Tony Perez, Tom Seaver, Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Juan Marichal and Ron Santo. The ball is in EX-MT condition and the signatures average 7/10. The 1969 Mid-Summer Classic was the second one to take place at RFK Stadium in eight years, something that would never happen today. The "visiting" National League won the 1969 game, 9-3. It was the last All-Star Game to be played in the daylight as rain had washed out the originally scheduled event the night before.
