1969 Pete Reiser Game Worn Cubs Jersey & Fergie Jenkins Game Worn Pants "Uniform" Given to Cubs Scout (Photo-Matched)
Some classic Cubbies threads are in this lot, which includes a 1969 Pete Reiser game worn #7 jersey and 1968 Fergie Jenkins game worn pants. These pieces were both given to Jose Santiago as a uniform when he became a scout for the Cubs in 1971, and the jersey has the 1969 MLB Anniversary patch on the right sleeve and Cubs logo on left sleeve, along with Wilson size "42" tag on tail and embroidered "1969." The pants show excellent use with "31-68-2-36" tag inside, Wilson size "36" and "Wilson 1968, Set 2" tags as well. Photo-Matched to Santiago wearing the jersey in a February 19th, 1971, article of El Heraldo, Santiago was a minor league pitcher for the Indians who was roommates with Satchel Paige. The jersey is all-original and in beautiful condition.
