1972 Muhammad Ali Autographed Fight Worn Trunks from Mac Foster Fight

1972 Muhammad Ali Autographed Fight Worn Trunks from Mac Foster Fight

On April 1, 1972 former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali fought Mac Foster in a non title affair in Tokyo, Japan. Ali won a 15 round decision as he continued his successful comeback which would culminate in a title fight with George Foreman two years later. Presented here are the actual fight worn trunks used by Muhammad Ali in his fight with Mac Foster. The trunks are white velour with reddish orange trim. At the center waistband there is a manufacturer's tag for LONSDALE. The front left leg has been signed in black sharpie by Muhammad Ali. These trunks originated from the estate sale of long time Ali cornerman, Drew "Bundini" Brown. The trunks still have the original tag from that sale (#RK8817). Muhammad Ali can be seen wearing the trunks in the fight film from the event. The trunks are sold with an LOA from Craig Hamilton of JO Sports, Inc. who researched the item for this sale.
