1984 Hank Greenberg Old Timers All-Star Game Worn Jersey

1984 Hank Greenberg Old Timers All-Star Game Worn Jersey

In 1984, Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg was selected as honorary Captain of the American League All-Star team at the game played in San Francisco. This item comes directly from his son, Stephen, who obtained it from the legend following that contest. It is a road Detroit Tigers uniform, manufactured by Wilson. The top is a size 48 with "Detroit" stitched across the front and the name "Greenberg" stitched above his number "5" on back. The pants are also Wilson, size 40, and a tag in the waist band lists the numbers "56-25-2" with another sewn in tag listing the number 56. Shows some light use but the uniform is in Excellent condition and comes with a letter from Stephen Greenberg verifying its provenance.
