1997-98 Wayne Gretzky New York Rangers Game Used & Signed Hespeler Stick
All original tape on the blade with traces of powder. The butt end is taped rather than having the standard (at the time) Jack the Gripper. There was a time when the supply of Grippers ran short and Gretz resorted to taping the butt ends of his sticks. This was not common but did happen. Butt end of the stick is marked "Game 6 vs. Pitt 97-98 148" - the Rangers hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, October 14, 1997 in their sixth game of the 1997-98 NHL regular season. Use is light and blue Sharpie signature on the shaft grades 8/10.
