2002 Sammy Sosa Game Worn All-Star Jersey (Photo-Matched & MEARS A10)
Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa wore this unwashed and very dirty pinstriped home Cubs jersey during the infamous 2002 All-Star Game just up the road in Milwaukee. Photo-matched with Photo-Match.com LOA, the jersey, complete with All-Star Game patch on the right sleeve, also has a MEARS A10 LOA. There's a "C" patch on the right sleeve, "21 48 01 S15" tagging in the neck, and Majestic Size 48 tag on the tail. SOSA 21 is stitched on the back and the classic circular Cubs logo adorns the front left breast. Sosa went 1-for-2 with a single and strikeout in the contest. The game sparked tons of controversy as the contest ended prematurely after 11 innings with both the AL and NL tied at seven. With hometown commissioner Bud Selig's reluctant approval, the game was called when both teams ran out of available pitchers.
