2003 Kobe Bryant & Shaquille O'Neal Signed Los Angeles Lakers Media Guide
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal teamed up to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a rare Three-Peat when the team won the NBA Crown three seasons in a row, from 1999-00 through 2001-02. Presented is another great Kobe/Shaq combination, each Hall of Famer's signature on the same cover of the Los Angeles lakers 2003-04 Media Guide. Hall of Fame shooting guard Bryant began playing with the Lakers in 1996-97, and he played for the team his entire career, retiring after the 2015-16 campaign. He passed away in January 2020 in a tragic helicopter crash. he helped the Lakers to five NBA championships, and averaged 22.9 PPG for his career, and among his many honors: 18-time All-Star, 2-time scoring champion, 2-time Finals MVP, 12-time NBA All Defense Team, and selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. Shaq, a Hall of Fame center, played eight seasons with the Lakers. He averaged 26.4 PPG, was a 2-time scoring champion, a 3-time Finals MVP, the 1999-00 MVP, and was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. The media guide is a nice item in itself. The signed media guide was obtained by Jan van Breda Kolff (a former NBA player, and the son of Butch van Brada Kolff, a former head coach of the Lakers). The item is from the Jan van Breda Kolff Collection. </span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The </span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">signatures, written in black ink, show minor bleeding because of the texture of the cover. Overall, the media guide provides a great backdrop for the signatures of these Laker superstars.</span></p>
