"Alice Cooper in Black & Grey" Vintage Backstage Pass Decorated Guitar (2015)
Created by our own Joshua Leland Evans, Chairman of Lelands.com, this is entitled "Alice Cooper In Black & Grey." This wonderful art piece is covered with a montage/collage of vintage backstage passes from the 1980s and 1990s. Epiphone Les Paul Standard Model is a top quality instrument plastered with passes in a unique "tearing" pattern to give it a rough look and a certain "life" as a work of art. Passes are from such bands as KISS, Alice Cooper, Steve Miller, Moody Blues Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, Joan Jett and U2. One of Evans' finer works, this is done in an interesting color pattern of black and grey on front and verso, and in red on the back neck. Even the front neck is artfully done with portions of passes to create interesting "rows" of verse. This is one of less than than ten he has completed and is signed and dated by the artist on bottom with the title of the piece. All of the passes are 100% vintage originals obtained directly by Leland's from the archive of Otto Printing and Entertainment, the dominant force in printing concert backstage passes and tickets still to this day.
