Bess Myerson Collection (1st Jewish Miss America)
1945 signaled the end of World War II, so when Bess Myerson was crowned Miss America that year, the achievement was especially significant because of her Jewish heritage. This vintage signed "Bess Myerson Miss America" picture was presented to her music teacher and signed for her on matting. Only the signed part of the matting remains here. The lot also includes a photo of her with Pete Seeger, which is in fair condition.
