Brooklyn's Walker Theater Concert Poster
Much like the Apollo in Manhattan, the Walker Theater on 64th Street in Brooklyn served as a premier entertainment showplace beginning with Wallace Beery's stage show "Fireman, Save My Child" in 1926 and through 1988 when it was converted to a movie cineplex. In between, many musical acts performed there, such as the acts promoted on this poster from the early '60s: Jay & The Americans, Five Stations, The Earls, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, The Chantels & more. The poster is trimmed with some edge damage and measures 21" x 32".
