Cassius Clay-Muhammad Ali Photo Collection (136)
Fabulous collection of photographs are all from the files of the British magazines Boxing News and Boxing World and were used in its publishing. These are of incredible quality and the vast majority are either British wire photos or photographer's prints with their stampings on the versos. All vintage, most of them are ring action and there are some incredible images. The collection is all 1960-70's and includes images such as: Ali's reaction to his Frazier I loss (2), jubilation after Liston TKO in Miami (2), stunning facial at Liston Prelim starring his brother, 1964 Liston Boston Press Conference, Henry Cooper knocks him into the ropes (1966), six contact sheets from Ali-Frazier I including two with JFK Jr. at the fight, and possibly the most important of all, his reaction to the Supreme Court decision lifting his draft ban (2). Some of the more unusual shots include Ali with Joe Louis, receiving a massage, at 1968 Nation of Islam, and of Spinks' victory celebration. The following are ring action shots of Clay/Norton (2), Peralta (3), Tubbs, Foster (6), Chuvallo (3), Frazier I, Frazier II (8), Quarry (10), Shavers (2), Patterson (3), Folley, Blin and more. Eight additional photos are rare real action shots from the famous Ali-Marciano "computer" fight. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an archive that would take decades to build.
