This is the wire photograph version of the famed image of a victorious Cassius Clay standing over Sonny Liston after his one round KO in their 1965 fight in Lewiston, Maine. This original British wire photo is the first specimen we have seen. Stamped on the reverse by United Press International, it is far superior to the American version as it is a heavier stock and on higher quality, more luxurious paper. Original caption on back reads, "Champion Cassius Clay stands over a fallen Sonny Liston and taunts him to get up and fight in the first (and last round of their fight here last night..." Minor creases o/w EX.
