The Heavyweight Championship fight between favored Sonny Liston and young Cassius Clay, who wouldn't take the name Muhammad Ali until the following year, at the Miami Beach Convention Hall is the stuff of myths. After a grueling eight rounds, Clay was pronounced the winner, screaming "I'm the greatest!" and "I shook up the world!" from the corners of the ring. This ticket and envelope from the promoter of the fight Chris Dundee, amazingly preserved in EX-MT condition, holds all the excitement and the daring that the brooding legend was only beginning to showcase that cold February night. Their rematch would spawn the famous photo of Ali taunting a floored Liston and each fight is considered one of the most important fights of the 20th Century. Printed on orange ticket paper, the ticket is in perfect condition while the envelope only has superfluous writing on its front and back.
