Cassius Clay vs. Sonny Liston Program

Cassius Clay vs. Sonny Liston Program

The program from the fight that brought Cassius Clay to the imaginations of boxing enthusiasts everywhere. This was the fight that made people stand up and take notice of the brash young boxing talent, known as "The Louisville Lip." Liston, recently released from prison was known as one of the most formidable and ferocious fighters in history, and everyone thought Cassius Clay was crazy to be fighting him. Clay was merely a teenage boxing protege at the time, having recently won the Gold at the 1960 Olympics. In a stunning upset, Clay would defeat Sonny Liston by way of knockout. This eagerly awaited bout came to an unbelievable end, and the rest, as we know, is history. This is one of Muhammad Ali’s most important programs. Displays photos of each fighter on cover. Clean, uncreased and unscored with no tears. Excellent condition.
